According to recent reports, Microsoft has acquired GitHub for $7.5 Billion in Microsoft Stock. Github is a popular resource for coders and companies alike and also a useful source amongs the recruitment community for engaging with and reviewing talent.
Described as “the world’s largest community of developers”, it’s currently used by huge corporations including Apple, Amazon, and Google. Following this acquisition Microsoft Corporate Vice President (and former CEO of Zamarin), Nat Friedman will become Github’s CEO. Former CEO Chris Wanstrath will become a Microsoft technical fellow and work on strategic software initiatives.
