An Area Sales Manager with a wealth of experience within the chemical industry is needed to join the world’s largest and most experienced producer of activated carbon. Expect a rewarding role where your focus will be on managing sales territory as well as generating and achieving all sales and profit targets.

Building on a 100+ year history of innovation in manufacturing and product development, this leading chemical manufacturer provides activated carbon products that are used to remove pollutants, contaminants and other impurities from water, gas and air, food and beverages, pharmaceutical products, and other liquids in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Due to continued success, they are now seeking a talented Area Sales Manager to join their team of experts that includes some of the brightest minds in the industry.

Joining as the Area Sales Manager you will play a key role in managing the sales territory and implementing sales plans and strategies. Whether you are communicating and negotiating sales contracts, identifying new market opportunities, managing sales and distribution, or generating target levels of volume and revenue forecasts it will be your ability to hit the ground running that ensures exceptional sales growth and customer satisfaction.

To qualify…you will be an Area Sales Manager / National Sales Account Manager / Sales Account Manager / Field Sales Manager / Territory Sales Manager / Regional Sales Manager with experience in the chemical industry and a cv that demonstrates the following:

  • Previous Sales experience in a chemical industry environment.
  • Educated to BSc level with a relevant degree in Chemistry.
  • Ability to effectively engage in verbal and written communications that are timely, direct, concise, clear and relevant and delivered with appropriate style and tone.
  • A current drivers license and be willing to travel as required. This role may require you to travel 4 days a week with lots of mileage around the UK (40,000 miles/ year) visiting opportunities/ customers.

Knowledge of Salesforce CRM would be highly advantageous.
