A Bid Manager / Tendering Manager, who has basic knowledge of the construction industry, is needed to join a well-established boutique Design and Build Company. Focusing on projects within the Commercial, Leisure and Education sectors, you will be responsible for sourcing, managing, and compiling public and private sector procurement bids. 
With over 300 successful projects in 30 years, this friendly, London based “Design Manage Construct” company has built an enviable reputation for understanding project goals and finding solutions, for a wide variety of sectors. They are now seeking a Bid Manager / Tendering Manager who can call upon a wide range of bid winning and writing skills to win bids, answer briefs and manage the bid process and articulate client-focused solutions.
 Working closely with the Company Directors, Project Managers and the Procurement team, the Bid Manager will be involved in the full bid process from start to finish. Whether you are identifying new viable opportunities; making submissions through the tender process (PQQs, Managing Portals, SQs, RFQs, RFPs & ITTs,); engaging with stakeholders; having creative input into delivery strategy; managing and maintaining the extensive company bid library and identifying and promoting social value opportunities, it will be your excellent communication skills that ensures outstanding Design & Build projects thrive and progress. 
To qualify… You should be a competent Bid Manager or a very talented graduate, be familiar with the procurement bid process and writing. The following will be a great advantage. You should have:
  • Previous experience in a similar Bid Manager position.
  • Sound basic knowledge of the construction industry.
  • The ability to handle bid portals, multiple bids running concurrently and hit bid decision dates/deadlines.
  • Strong communication in written and spoken English.
  • The ability to build relationships with clients and their advisory bodies.
