A Director of Insights is needed to join a leader in the music industry. Championing all data relating to the music industry you will deliver key insight and analysis to both members and the board.
Widely considered as the authority on data within the recorded music sector, this industry giant proudly boasts members that span independent music labels all the way up to the major labels. Joining as their Director of Insights your role will be to produce and analyse data which informs these members (as well as internal staff) on market conditions and trends related to the music industry.
Reporting to the CEO and COO the Director of Insights will take up a lead role encompassing the development and maintenance of surveys (Music streaming / downloads, Piracy Studies, A&R Investment etc.); writing and giving presentations to trade bodies, educational establishments, governing bodies etc.; contributing towards the development of new analyses, reports, innovation, special projects; supporting other departments where necessary with insight and much more.
In short you will lead a small team delivering cutting edge insight, reports and data analysis that paints a clear picture of industry happenings.
To qualify… You should be a Director of Insights / Strategic Insights Director / Head of Data Analytics / Head of Insights / Director of Data & Insights or similar with a CV that demonstrates:
- Excellent numeracy skills;
- Strong appreciation of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Competence with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Presentation skills
- Creativity skills in order to isolate areas for innovation and research;
- An interest in the music industry (and music itself);
- Strong inter-personal and Communication skills – expect to meet industry heavyweights.
