An Event Operations Manager, who has experience of managing events that need a lot of organisation and planning, is needed to join a formidable global events and market development company in Burnham, Buckinghamshire. Expect to play a vital role in the smooth delivery and organisation of a portfolio of events for the international Aerospace and Defence industry.
Part Time candidates (minimum of 3 days) will also be considered for this role.
Founded in 2003 this impressive global events and market development company has earned an enviable reputation for delivering effective, engaging and goal-oriented events across North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia for the Aerospace and Defence industry. They are now seeking a super organised Event Operations Manager to take the lead on a new French event being held next year. (Any ability to speak French would be a bonus but is not essential.)
Reporting to the Director, the B2B Events Operations Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery and coordination of event activities including managing the event delivery team, venue staff, and suppliers onsite. Whether you are creating an event delivery cycle; leading event briefings; conducting competitor event research; managing budgets & bookings; negotiating contracts with suppliers; producing post event work (feedback, attendee lists, thank you emails etc.) or supporting the team with up-to-date event information, it will be your meticulous attention to detail that ensures the delivery of outstanding events.
You will be expected to attend events as and when required (on average, three events per year in USA and Europe).
To qualify… You should be an Event Operations Manager / Event Manager / Event Coordinator / B2B Event Planner / B2B Event Manager or similar looking to build a career within an exciting company. In more detail, your CV should demonstrate:
- Experience in a similar B2B Event Management role;
- The ability to manage and prioritise multiple day-to-day tasks while maintaining high quality standards;
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, organisation and time management skills;
- Excellent writing and presentation skills;
- A willingness to work extra hours when required and attend event locations.
- An event management qualification (degree / diploma level or similar).
Any experience with WordPress, the aerospace and defence industry or international events would be a bonus.
