An Examinations Officer & Academic Administrator is needed to join a specialist independent Higher Education provider which also offers Further Education courses for the Performing Arts. Situated in Essex, just off the M25, the Examinations Officer & Academic Administrator will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of all examinations.
With over 35 years’ experience in helping students launch successful careers in the creative industry. Our client is the largest and leading provider of contemporary music education in Europe. Due to exciting growth, they are now seeking an Examinations Officer & Academic Administrator with a strong background in managing all aspects of the administration of examinations to join an impressive purpose built, performing arts centre that is extremely well appointed and has some of the best facilities in the country.
Reporting to the Head of Education, the Examinations Officer & Academic Administrator will ensure that all examinations and assessments are set, delivered and marked in a timely fashion.  Whether you are liaising with course leaders to ensure that all examination data is collected; managing, booking and supporting all assessors in the delivery of exams; communicating marks and feedback for students; providing telephone and tutorial student support; monitoring student attendance or ensuring extra support is in place for the students that need it, it will be your excellent interpersonal skills that ensures the College operates an effective examinations management system in line with the requirements of the HE and FE partner institutions and awarding bodies.
To qualify… You should be an Examinations Officer & Academic Administrator / Data & Exam Officer / College Exam Officer / Exams Officer / Education Administrator or similar with a CV that demonstrates: 
  • A strong background in managing all aspects of the administration of examinations.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, especially by telephone.
  • High level accuracy of data inputting with ability to concentrate in a busy office environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • You are computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Any experience or understanding of the following would be a bonus:
  • Administering higher education examinations and assessments.
  • Examination and moderation procedures.
  • Data processing and delivery for university examinations boards.
  • Experience of line management.
  • Educated to HE Level 6 / undergraduate degree level.
