An Interior Designer, with substantial AutoCAD experience, is needed to join a privately owned Design studio who work on exciting projects across the UK. Expect an all-encompassing interior design role working on innovative projects spanning hospitality and commercial, to new build residential and refurbishments. 
Whether it’s for the home, work or social spaces, this leading interior design company are passionate about creating unique aspirational spaces that lead the way in design and wellbeing.  Projects span a diverse collection of residential and commercial works, from high-end home redesigns in Notting Hill to amenity areas in Manchester (and a lot in between).  A rare opportunity has now arisen for an Interior Designer to join their collaborative team.
Reporting to the Senior Interior Designer the Interior Designer will utilise their skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite to execute outstanding designs for clients.  On a day-to-day basis expect to prepare and develop drawings, models, images, materials, and mood boards; create and manage schedules; communicate closely with clients on projects; attend meetings (design / site / sub-contractor); source new products and finishes; liaise with external design teams or anything else necessary to deliver outstanding projects and results for clients. 
In short, you will work closely with the rest of the team to ensure a cohesive project is delivered using everyone’s strengths to the best of their abilities.
To qualify… You should be an Interior Designer / Interior Architect or similar with a CV and portfolio that demonstrates:
  • Experience of working on residential and/or hospitality focused projects; 
  • Strong AutoCAD experience;
  • Confidence using Sketchup, Adobe Suite and MS Office;
  • The ability to understand and formulate design decisions and presenting these for discussion;
  • The ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project; 
  • That you can work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently;
  • Good hand sketching skills with the ability to convert sketches into drawings on computer based programs such as AutoCAD and Sketchup;
  • You are self-motivated, with excellent organisational skills and are able to take responsibility;
  • The ability to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • You are able to work independently and as part of an effective team;
  • You are legally able to work in the UK;
  • An industry recognised diploma or degree in Interior Design, Spatial Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture.
