A Linux Administrator is needed to join the gaming office of a global media tech provider based in Brighton. Due to continued success, they are now seeking a detail oriented and self-motivated Linux Administrator / Systems Administrator who maintains a positive attitude even when everything goes wrong and has a passion to learn and improve their skills and knowledge using Windows and AWS platforms.
Working closely with technology experts, the Linux Administrator / Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and developing all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service. Whether you are maintaining best practice, fault finding, analysing and reporting performance, coordinating and managing upgrades, creating and modifying script or providing input to improve stability, security, efficiency and scalability, it will be your excellent communication skills that ensures outstanding results.
To qualify… You should be a Linux Administrator / Linux Admin / Systems Administrator / Engineer / IT Systems Administrator / Business Systems Administrator / Linux Enthusiast or similar with a CV that demonstrates:
  • Some previous working experience as a Linux Administrator.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An in-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat/CentOS, Ubuntu.
  • LAMP / LEMP stack, SSL, TLS Certificates.
  • An understanding of networking protocols & concepts.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
Any experience or knowledge of Bash scripting (Or any other scripting languages), Windows Server 2016,2019 administration, VMWare and SAN management, AWS or Linux certifications would be a bonus, but is not required.
