A prestigious private members club based in London are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Membership Administrator to assist the membership team on a fixed term 12-month contract. Expect to play a key role in being responsible for all aspects of membership at the Club including payment of fees, rules and byelaws, managing the waiting list and fielding enquiries.

Situated in 42 acres of landscaped grounds adjacent to the River Thames in Fulham, the Club is recognised as one of the worlds finest private member clubs. Since its opening in 1869, the Clubs croquet and tennis lawns, botanical gardens and stately Georgian Clubhouse have made it a sought-after destination for exclusive sporting and social activities.

Joining as the Membership Administrator you will be the initial point of contact for member inquiries, providing timely and helpful responses. You will also be responsible for maintaining and managing a member database, as well as overseeing a waiting list for potential members. This role also entails handling fee payments, which may include processing payments, sending invoices, and ensuring members are up to date with their dues.

To qualify… You should be a Membership Administrator / Membership Co-Ordinator / Membership Services Specialist / Member Relations Administrator / Member Support Specialist or similar and your CV should demonstrate:

  • Prior experience in membership administration or a related field is desirable.
  • Familiarity with membership databases and office administration is beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills to efficiently manage member records and databases.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with members and address inquiries.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processing applications and payments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling member information.
  • IT literate with excellent attention to detail and proven experience of Microsoft Office, data entry and use of databases.
  • Experience of financial transactions is desirable, but not essential.
