An Onsite Maintenance Officer / Building Quality Supervisor, who has a level 4 HNC / HND in Construction / Property / Built Environment, is needed to join a leading housing association with a reputation for delivering new affordable homes for both rural and urban communities. Covering Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, you will ensure effective and efficient delivery of planned maintenance, cyclical decoration and retrofit programmes.
With a purpose to create better living solutions for the people and communities of West Wales, this leading housing association currently has over 3000 homes and develops around 150 new homes every year, to meet affordable housing need through a range of tenures such as, for rent, rent to buy or shared ownership. They are now seeking an Onsite Maintenance Officer / Building Quality Supervisor to join their team.
Reporting to the Retrofit & Planned Maintenance Lead, the Onsite Maintenance Officer / Building Quality Supervisor will attend various sites managing the construction process to meet customer expectations. Whether you are coordinating contractors / operatives; liaising with external consultants to prepare existing & proposed drawings / planning & building regulation applications; adhering to H&S legislation or resolving customer concerns, it will be your excellent communication skills that ensures planned maintenance schemes are delivered on time and to budget.
To qualify You should be an Onsite Maintenance Officer / Building Quality Supervisor / Onsite Maintenance Inspector / Site Inspector / Planned Maintenance Surveyor / Planned Maintenance Project Manager / Planned Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician / Field Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Operator or similar with a CV that demonstrates:
- Experience in a similar Planned Maintenance role.
- A property or construction related qualification to HNC / HND or higher and PAS Retrofit Assessor level 4 qualification.
- Experience in construction technology, and experience in undertaking stock condition surveys and assessments e.g., Welsh Housing Quality Standard Assessments (WHQS), Housing Health and Safety Rating Systems (HHSRS), Fire Risk Assessments, Asbestos Management Surveys (including Sampling).
- Experience in the maintenance and management of a stock database using specialist property asset management software.
- Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Good attention to detail and high personal standards.
- Membership of a relevant professional body e.g., CIOB/RICS would be great or the willingness to work towards this accreditation.
- A health and safety qualification such as IOSH Manging Safety or NEBOSH General/Construction is desirable.
A full UK driving Licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role.
