A Part Time Technical Support Advisor (with knowledge in healthcare or NHS laboratories) is needed to join a globally recognised Healthcare Diagnostics Company based in the heart of Staffordshire.
Our client is open to remote working for this role for the right candidate, you will be expected to attend the office in Staffordshire on occasion. 
Founded in 2009, this family-run business, is a leading supplier of Blood, Respiratory & Urinary testing equipment for GPs, Laboratories & Hospitals. With extensive experience in diagnostics both at a national and global level they are renowned for providing ground-breaking, innovative solutions to the healthcare sector. They now have a rare opening for a Technical Support Advisor in their Customer Service team.
Working at the forefront of the business you will play an essential role managing, resolving and reporting all technical issues that arise with their Point of Care Technology (POCT).  Duties are focussed around supporting customers, however, as part of your wider role you’ll be involved with developing e-learning programmes with marketing and product management teams, developing technical processes and managing manufacturer notifications among other things.
To qualify… You should be a biomedical scientist who has worked as a Technical Support Advisor, Technical Support Executive, POCT Support Advisor or similar, with a CV that demonstrates:
  • Prior experience in Biomedical Sciences (ideally gained within an NHS laboratory);
  • Strong technical skills;
  • Strong skills in Excel;
  • Problem solving abilities;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral);
  • Organisation skills.
A background in Biochemistry, POCT or Microbiology is advantageous as is previous commercial technical support experience.  Knowledge of ISO management and compliance would also be a bonus.
As a part time role (09:30-14:30 Monday-Friday) this opening provides an excellent opportunity for someone who wants a better work/life balance, perhaps to coincide with school hours?
