Renovated from an old pencil factory, we sneak inside the crowdfunding site Kickstarter’s new 29,000 SQFT NYC HQ.

Complete with a roof terrace, gallery, theatre, canteen, a library and even some office space, Kickstarter’s Brooklyn HQ has been designed by Ole Sondresen Architect with the aim of keeping as much character as possible from the original industrial landmark. Re-purposing steel trusses from the former roof frame to create a new glass courtyard this floods natural light into all levels of the interior whilst providing views of a fern grove, flowering trees, birds, butterflies and a rain chain. Additional features include a gaming room with classic arcade games, a nap room, and a sleek cafeteria.
