Cambridge can no longer call themselves the best university in the world, that accolade now stands with the Massachusetts Institute for Technology (MIT) who rank #1 according to the QS World Universities 2012 rankings…

For the first time since the rankings were introduced, British universities have made up 4 of the top 6 places, with a total of 8 UK universities making it in the top 50.  Here are the top 10 in all their glory:
