An Estate Administration Assistant is needed to join a London-based firm of professional genealogists and international probate researchers. Working from their Hatton Garden office expect to support the administration of deceased estates, including conducting will and asset searches whilst enhancing the company’s reputation and visibility.

This prestigious firm brings over 100 years of professional expertise as genealogists and probate researchers. Their forte? Locating missing beneficiaries and heirs across the globe, particularly for unclaimed estates, assets, and neglected properties. Their work may be familiar to you from the BBC One program “Heir Hunters”.

Reporting to the Partners and Asset Manager, the Estates Administration Assistant will provide support in all aspects of estate administration, including correspondence, document management, and indexing related information. Responsibilities include conducting asset and will searches, managing court applications, liaising with clients, obtaining necessary documentation, and maintaining organised files. Additionally, the role involves assisting the Property Department with administrative tasks and maintaining relationships with relevant departments.

To qualify: You could be an Estates Administration Assistant / Estate Affairs Assistant / Estate Administration Coordinator / Probate Administrator or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • The ability to maintain client confidentiality and knowledge of data protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in document management and administrative tasks.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are culturally sensitive.
  • You have a positive attitude with plenty of initiative.
