A PR & Communications Assistant is needed to join a major trade association for the UK automotive industry, on a 12 -18 month Apprenticeship. Our client, a prominent entity in the UK automotive industry, represents companies engaged in the design, manufacture, sale, and aftercare of motor vehicles and components. With a strong advocacy role, they promote and champion the sector both domestically and internationally. They are currently seeking an Apprentice PR & Communications Assistant to support their mission during this pivotal time in the industry, as it transitions to next-generation zero-emission and automated technologies.
Joining as the Apprentice PR & Communications Assistant you will jump into a fast-paced press office, where you’ll support the dynamic communications team while working towards your Level 4 Apprenticeship (it is important that you don’t already have a level 4 qualification in a similar subject.) You will gain hands-on experience across media relations, press release writing, graphic design, social media, event planning, and more, alongside industry experts and iconic vehicle brands. We’re on the hunt for passionate learners with strong writing skills and excellent communication abilities. You’ll need to be organised, detail-oriented, and bring boundless enthusiasm and creativity to the team daily. Plus, you’ll enjoy practical, classroom-based learning to turbocharge your skills!

To qualify…
Your CV should demonstrate:
- You are educated to at least A-level or equivalent in any discipline, it is important that you don’t already have a level 4 qualification in a similar subject.
- A proven aptitude for writing
- GCSE or equivalent in English (Grade 6 or above) and Maths (Grade 4 or above)
- An understanding of social media platforms.
- Experience with IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- The role may require out of hours work, including event attendance and handling media enquiries.
